Japanisch-Deutscher Stadtteildialog
Project: German-Japanese City
District Dialogue
East-West-Visions e. V. is featuring an exchange between
Ottensen, part of the German city of Hamburg, and districts
in Japan, such as Mukojima in Tokyo and Hirano in Osaka.
The aim is to promote more humane towns, an exchange across
borders and a dialogue between people. The initiative,
which supports German-Japanese friendship, has organized events and
lectures, including "Symposium City – City District –
Culture and Dialogue" at the International House in Osaka in 1999.
Every year, we bring
together citizens, architects, town planers and artists.
